Flows
What are flows?
Flows are structured workflows that guide you through the advisory process, capturing client information and decisions in an organized way. Each flow is designed for a specific purpose and ensures you gather all necessary information for compliance and documentation.
When you create a session for an investor, you select which flow to use. The flow and session work together—the flow provides the structure, while the session stores all the information you capture.
Why flows matter
Flows ensure consistency and completeness in your advisory process by:
- Guiding you through the right steps in the right order
- Prompting for required information at each stage
- Ensuring compliance documentation is captured
- Creating a standardized process across your team

Flows and sessions: how they work together
Flow: The structure and workflow (which steps, in what order)
Session: Your specific work with a client (the information captured)
Think of the flow as a template and the session as the completed document. Multiple sessions can use the same flow, but each session captures unique client information.
Example:
You use the Investment Advisory Flow (same structure) for three different clients, creating three separate sessions (each with different information).
Key things to know
One flow per session
Each session is linked to a single flow. You choose the flow when creating a new session based on what you're trying to accomplish with the client.
Flows can be customized
Your organization can configure which steps appear in each flow to match your specific advisory process and compliance requirements.
