Overview

Portfolio Actions helps you efficiently manage and rebalance existing client portfolios. Use this feature to process portfolio changes, manage deposits and withdrawals, and generate transaction lists for execution.

Who should use this: Advisors managing existing client portfolios with account data synchronized to the platform.

What you can do

Assign client accounts and holdings to goals for rebalancing
Map holdings to asset classes for accurate portfolio display
Assign external holdings to asset classes to reflect true allocation
Create placeholder accounts
Add withdrawals and transfers
Calculate transaction lists for execution

Before you start

Requirements

Account data must be integrated and synchronized to the platform
Client holdings information must be populated

Important to know

Goal assignment determines rebalancing: When you assign a position (fund or cash) to a goal, you're telling the system this holding can be rebalanced according to the goal's target allocation
Target portfolio: The portfolio created on the advisory page is always the target allocation per goal
Account value calculation: The combination of account value assigned to a goal, plus deposits and minus withdrawals, determines the target account value for transaction calculations

Portfolio actions helps advisors efficiently manage, follow-up and rebalance existing client portfolios.

What can you do?

Rebalance portfolios based on updated recommendations
Process deposits and withdrawals
Generate accurate transaction lists
Assign investments to specific accounts

When integrated with your order management system, Portfolio Actions streamlines the entire execution process—from investment plan to order placement.

Requirements: This feature requires client account data to be synchronized with the platform. If you're not currently syncing account data, contact our delivery team to learn more about enabling this capability.

What is Total Portfolio?

Total Portfolio combines existing holdings and proposed goal portfolios into a single asset allocation view, giving you and your clients a complete picture of the investment strategy across all assets.

When to use Total Portfolio

Review overall asset allocation
See how investments are distributed across asset classes when combining existing holdings with new proposals.

Verify risk alignment
Check whether the complete portfolio (existing + proposed) aligns with the client's risk preferences and target allocation.

Client presentations
Present a comprehensive view during client meetings to show how new investments complement existing positions.

How to access Total Portfolio

Total Portfolio must be enabled in your configuration. Once enabled, follow these steps:

Step 1: Prepare external assets
Tag all external assets you want to include by assigning them to asset classes.

Step 2: Assign accounts
Assign internal accounts to goals or mark them as "Keep in total portfolio" using Portfolio Actions.

Step 3: Create investment proposals
Build the investment proposal for each goal in the advisory workflow. This is done on the advisory page.

Step 4: Navigate to the proposal page and access Total Portfolio Go to the proposal page where you can drill down into the client recommendations.Click on the Total Portfolio analysis option to view the consolidated asset allocation chart
